Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell (born August 25, 1949) is an American TV chef who is a popular personality. Burrell was also an instructor at the Institute of Culinary Education. Anne W. Burrell hosts on Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on Food Network. Food Network, as well as co-hosting Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, a Food Network celebrity with her signature spiky blonde hair and a pumped up personality reveals easy to learn techniques and eliminates the fear of eating at restaurants in her series Secrets of a Restaurant. Chef Burrell studied and worked at the top New York restaurants. He was also a part of Iron Chef America and the food scene of Italy. Burrell was born in New York State's Upstate, began to develop a passion for cooking. The Culinary Institute of America sparked her interest in restaurant management after she earned an English/Communications degree at Canisius College Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America is where I spent my most memorable time in my life. I could not study or accomplish enough. After graduating, Burrell worked at La Bottega del 30 in Tuscany and La Taverna del Lupo (in Umbria) as she attended the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. When she was in Italy the chef gained an appreciation and understanding of Italian food. This had an enormous effect on the way she thinks about food. Burrell has served on the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which brightens children who are facing obstacles and is also an Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation celebrity ambassador. she promotes children with diabetes and awareness. Burrell is often a guest speaker at conferences and travels throughout the United States in her mentorship role. Anne said she felt lucky that I could be able to share her passion for cooking with the people around her.
