Vinita Nair
The journalist joined ABC News in July of 2004 and has covered a variety of topics including the Jon Benet Ramsey investigation, and school shootings close to Bailey, Colorado. Nair was hired by ABC News in December 2007 as a correspondent/anchor for ABC News Now. As part of her role as a reporter, she provided live reporting as well as briefings for ABC's network. Nair served as co-anchor on World News Now, America This Morning as well as ABC's digital networks beginning on September 17th of 2008 until February 18th, 2011. In both of the shows, she was partnered first with Jeremy Hubbard then later Rob Nelson. On the 17th of February the 17th of February, 2011 Nair revealed that Friday February 18was her final broadcast night for World News Now. It would also be one final day of work for ABC News. Peggy Bunker, a former anchor on KDVR Denver, was her direct successor. World News Now, February 18th included three tributes to Nair. Current and former coworkers appeared on the segment. She treated the crew to hot food at the end of her day.
