Following his school days, Lars joined the military and completed his military basic service for nine months with the Kongelige Livgarde (Royal Guards) an infantry regiment belonging to the Danish army. After completing his military service, he decided that it wasn't what he wanted and began searching for something new. He then decided to study biology. While he was occupied with this already a half year, Anette came home from one of her classes and showed him how good she could perform juggling after just three days. Lars was happy about this and was keen to give it a go. He dropped out of the college to go to a juggling school. He also was taught fire breathing and the art of juggling. He then traveled with two of his classmates throughout Europe as touring artists, performing in cities such as Paris, Munich and Moscow. He came across a children's circus the following year and learned street and children's theatre as and pantomime.
